Central Air Victoria — Warranty Callout Liability Agreement
By proceeding with your booking, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
Scope of Liability
Warranty Coverage: If the air conditioning or refrigeration issue is covered under the manufacturer’s warranty, the repair will be handled under the warranty at no cost to the customer.
Customer Liability for Non-Warranty Issues: If the issue is NOT covered under the manufacturer’s warranty, the customer will be liable for all costs associated with the service call and repair. Examples of non-warranty issues (for which the customer must cover the costs) include, but are not limited to:
Installation Faults: Problems resulting from incorrect or poor installation of the unit.
Lack of Maintenance: Issues caused by failure to properly maintain the system (e.g. dirty filters, blocked vents or drains, accumulation of dust/debris).
User-Related Issues: Errors or damage due to user operation, misuse, or accidental damage (for example, incorrect settings or physical damage not caused by a product defect).
Other Non-Warranty Problems: Any other problem not attributable to a manufacturing defect and thus not covered by a standard manufacturer warranty (such as external electrical issues, unauthorized modifications, or environmental damage).
In all the above non-warranty cases, the customer agrees to pay the relevant callout fees and repair costs as outlined in this agreement. This agreement is intended to clarify responsibilities and does not limit any rights or remedies the customer may have under Australian Consumer Law.
Payment Terms
In the case of non warranty the customer will be invoiced after the service is completed. Central Air Victoria will issue an invoice itemizing the callout fee, additional labour (if any), and any parts or materials used. The customer agrees to pay the invoiced amount in accordance with the payment terms stated on the invoice (payment is typically due upon receipt, unless otherwise noted on the invoice).
Callout Fees
Callout fees are based on the driving distance from Central Air Victoria’s base at 12 Langslow Street, Castlemaine to the customer’s location. These fees include travel and up to one hour of on-site labour. The exact fee will depend on the location of the service call. Please contact Central Air Victoria to confirm the applicable callout fee.
Note: The callout fee covers travel plus one (1) hour of labour on-site. If the service work exceeds one hour, any additional labour time will be billed separately at the applicable hourly rate. The callout fee does not include the cost of any parts or materials; any necessary parts/materials will be charged in addition to the callout fee.
Agreement to Terms
By accepting a warranty callout from Central Air Victoria, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the terms outlined in this document. This includes the understanding that if the issue is not covered under warranty, the customer will be responsible for all applicable costs as detailed above.
