Central Air Victoria — Service & Installation Terms and Conditions

By proceeding with your booking, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Callout Fee

Unless otherwise specified, you will be liable for a callout fee of $150 plus travel and GST.
If you would like an exact callout fee (including travel) and it has not already been provided, please contact us before we attend site.

2. Scope of Work

The callout fee covers attendance to assess the system and perform basic diagnostic work.
Any additional repairs, installation work, or modifications will incur extra charges and will only proceed after we have obtained your approval.

3. Site Assessment

We assume the site is structurally sound and meets all safety requirements.
If unforeseen issues (e.g., asbestos, structural defects) are found during works, additional charges may apply.

4. Electrical Requirements (Installation Only)

Installation work covers standard electrical requirements necessary for the system.
If upgrades or modifications are required, extra costs will apply and will be discussed before proceeding.

5. Access to Property

You must ensure unimpeded access to the system or installation site.
Delays caused by restricted access or circumstances beyond our control may result in additional waiting time charges.

6. Preparation of Work Area

Please make sure the work area is clear of furniture, belongings, or obstructions before our team arrives.
Failure to prepare the area may cause delays and incur additional charges.

7. Permits and Approvals

Any required permits, building approvals, or certifications are your responsibility.
We can assist with documentation where possible, but all associated costs remain yours.

8. Existing System or Part Removal

  • Repairs: Includes removal and disposal of old parts.

  • Installations: Includes removal and disposal of the existing air conditioning system.
    Any extra dismantling or disposal of non-standard components may incur additional costs.

9. Warranty and Service

  • Repair Services: Manufacturer warranties apply to all parts used. Warranty length varies — please contact us for details.

  • Installation Services: Comes with a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty for parts. Refer to manufacturer documentation for full terms.

10. Payment Terms

A 50% deposit is required for services over $300 or for all installation works, payable before scheduling and ordering materials.
The balance is due upon completion.
All parts and materials remain the property of Central Air Victoria until payment is received in full.
Overdue accounts may be referred to debt collection, with any collection fees payable by you.

11. Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice.

  • If no materials have been ordered, no extra charges apply.

  • If materials have been ordered within the 48-hour period, you will be liable for material costs incurred.
     Failure to provide notice may result in forfeiting any deposit paid.
